I was riding back from school the other day and me and my co-"buss"friends were speaking about the petroleum market and so I started speaking about the problematic that represents the constant exploitation of oil sands in Canada. I was telling them how stupid it was to keep wasting money on an industrie that would soon be past because of the uprising of greener energies. No but seriously is'nt stupid to 1. Produce more pollution than ever before 2. Fragilise our economie 3. Look like total morons who don't care about global warming? So I was exposing all of those facts and one of the girls I was with told me : but what's the problem anyway global warming is'nt going to happen before a long time! I logically answered : actually it is already happenning we just happen to be lucky and not feel the effects of it. And there they were , the most narrow minded and SELFISH people I could have ever thought of , they ALL replied : yeah but if it does'nt happen to us it does'nt matter . WHAT??? Excuse me but we are one of the biggest polutors of this centurie and we don't feel any effects from global warning but the poorer south countries that don't pollute much , THEY suffer from our way of living ! Is that supposed to be just? Is it because it does'nt happen to us that it is'nt important? Are our lives worth more? WHO DO THOSE GIRLS THINK THEY ARE? Boiling with rage inside, I told them calmly that if the planet reheated of the 2 degres annonced by the end of this century, we would for sure and with no doubt feel the effects of global warning and they responded : Again, who cares we will be dead by then! I could'nt believe what I was hearing I said : What about your children and your children's children? They will still be alive , is it just to let them pay for our pollution ? AND THEN the stupidest thing ever said on this planet was spoken : well... we will go live on Mars! , seeing my sceptic look she said , well what: if you believe in global warming we believe in moving to March! OK let's make something clear here : GLOBAL WARMING IS A FACT, LIVING ON MARCH A FABULATION. How can we expect the planet to be better if that is what 16 year old's are saying ? SOMEONE PLEASE OPEN THEIR MINDS!
Here's a poem I wrote while the guy it is about was actually sitting right beside me . Talk about an akward situation! Hoping you will be able to identify yourself in it cause , let's be realistic, everyone has fallen in love with someone they wish they had'nt.
Loving you...I think
I keep thinking things through in my mind
I get this feeling maybe?
But then I give it some time
Nothing happens; he doesn’t like me
Maybe understanding isn’t enough and I don’t show
What hides beneath but I don’t know
Should I let the feelings flow?
Now I keep telling myself “Don’t waste your time”
“You know him; he is SO not your type”
But then again I think I might just like
The way he is when he's not shy
I wish my heart could choose
Then I wouldn’t be scared that my soul I’d loose
Because love isn’t easy it eats you whole
So many I’ve seen fail and abandon the fight
I guess fleeing is easier than staying in the war
Reason against feelings who first will fall?
I wish I knew but it seems that one way or the other
I’ll be the one loosing it all
